Re: Ride quality

Just be aware that tyres have a finite life -I replaced mine not because they had worn tread but because they were 6 years old and were showing signs of perishing. Hurts to throw away tyres with plenty of tread but I feel a lot happier (and more comfortable) now.

And now Odometer and Speedo also not working

Following on from my previous post about the rev counter not working, I have just taken her out for a spin and now find the speedo and odometer not working. Looks like I'm going to have to take her in for an assessment, unless anyone has any bright ideas?

Thanks

Re: Ride quality

I replaced all 4 tyres recently from standard van-type which were fitted when we bought the van to Michelin campervan-specific and the ride quality improvement was immediately noticable.

Hope that helps.

Rev Counter and reversing beep not working

I can't recall when this happened but I noticed this week the rev counter is no longer moving. Mechanically the vehicle seems to be performing OK. I also notice at around the same time the annoying reversing beep had stopped telling me I was in reverse gear. Reversing lights and gear are working OK....

Re: Replacement Alternator

Thanks for the advice and ideas. I contacted KG Auto Engineers near Huddersfield and they confirmed what I was finding i.e. that getting hold of a replacement alternator for the 3.4 petrol V6 is virtually impossible. However, I took it into them and they repaired and re fitted the alternator and gav...

Re: Replacement Alternator

Thank you both for the information. It seems that the specific alternator for my 3.4 V6 is nigh on impossible to source a replacement for. If anyone knows any different, let me know please! The part number is: 12V 10 22 11 - 2080 27060-62220 If anyone knows of someone in the York area who can remove...

Replacement Alternator

Hi al. My Granvia alternator isn't charging the battery properly. The battery warning light stays on unless revved over 1,000rpm and having had the alt checked I've been told it's just not doing it's job in keeping the battery charged up. Can anyone advise on where I can get a replacement as the loc...

Brake Caliper Help Needed

My Granvia has failed its' MOT due to a sticking/seized offside rear brake calliper. The garage tells me that they cannot source a replacement and suggests the current calliper is sent away for a refurb, I'm not convinced that one cant be sourced easily. Am I wrong or can anyone tell me if they know...
