Hi again. Camper now sold.
I would like to thank Richard & others who helped me out over the last 3+ years. I will miss driving the beast.
Good luck to you all in keeping such a wonderful vehicle on the road.

Re: newby

Hi, there is a lot of misunderstanding about the extra cost of a camper compared to a standard version. A basic camper setup without any roof mods will cost from £1,500 upwards just to purchase the kit of parts. Add labour costs then the price shoots up. If you look at conversion sites ie - Converty...

Re: Start problem

Hi, I had a similar problem & found it to be a dirty contact in ignition key switch. One squirt of switch cleaner/lube type spray through small tube on tin & no more problems.
Worth a try.

Re: 3.0 TD -Aborrent MPG.

Hi again, the original import paperwork with my Granvia had the Japanese km reading on it. The importer then changed the readout to miles so I just worked out the conversion from km to miles & added what it has done in UK. Simple I hope. Also I found with the km reading the timing belt change ha...

Re: Hi newbie here

Hi, we have a camper conversion with high top & previously owned a VW T4 Caravelle. The VW wasn't that good to drive & was starting to rust through. We looked at a T5 & at the time they were way to expensive but now are coming down in price with age & high mileage. Again high cost of...

Re: 4WD Granvia tyre size and choice

Thanks Richard, I was told the 2.1% can be the difference between new & worn tyres, thus making it negligible. Also different makes & tread patterns vary within 2% so that could also make a difference. I deduce that the best would be the tyre with a tread pattern that has least rolling resis...
