Re: Prop shaft support bearing help please

I appreciate this is a 2 yr old post, but this may be of use to someone in the future. I replaced my propshaft centre bearing yesterday. Absolute piece of cake for anyone competent enough to work on their own car. I did not need to replace the u/j's as they were still good. My process was as follows...

Re: glow plug relay

Just to update what I ended up doing. I did eventually buy the relay and with the help of my daughters small hands she managed to get the old one off of the mounting position way up behind the dash. (Must have been a designer with very small hands that decided to put it up there. .) I mounted the ne...

Re: glow plug relay

My car has suddenly developed starting issues. I have read all the posts in this tread and have come to the conclusion that I may need to replace the relay. My only issue before throwing about £65 into a new relay is, nobody has mentioned whether ther is a seperate timer in the system anywhere. Thro...

Re: Replacement wheels

Thanks for your comments, food for though.
I did consider the spare, only problem is she would then be running about without a spare if she gets a flat.
I might try the breakers for a hiace wheel to put as the spare, just so she can get home.
Thanks again.
Any more comments welcome.

Replacement wheels

Hi everyone. I was just wondering whether any one knows if 15" shogun wheels fit on the Granvia hubs. I am looking for a cheap replacement set so that I can take mine off and refurb them at my leisure. As the wife uses the car for work 2 days a week I need something I can put on to keep her goi...

Re: Insurance +

Hi Matt I have had a Granvia since april 2006 and had no problem with insurance. Mine is insured with Privilege (no sure of spelling) as long as it has a cat 1 alarm fitted there is no issue. I think our yaris cost just as much to insure through another company. Hope you are now a happy owner with n...

Re: Front sunroof problem

Hi Paul. I had a similar problem a few years ago, whilst travelling through France, which seemed to occur once i reached a certain speed. Fortunately I always take a tool kit. From memory, if you remove the beading from the headlining around the sunroof, and carefully pull down the headlining at the...

Re: Air conditioning AWOL

Hi all. Just went to get mine gassed as sure enough it failed to work this year, and lo and behold, leaking pipe where the clamp is on the pipe running below the drivers door. The garage suggested making a complete new pipe out of copper, and get the end made up to fit the union under the drivers si...

Re: Thinking of taking the plunge

I have mine insured with privilege, no problem. My wife had an accident in it in the snow last year, no problem with repair (although I did say whatever happens I dont want it written off to the repairer, so they done a contract repair, great job and very happy). We travel to France at least once, i...
