Re: Steering judder and ABS on

As well as the likelyhood of a bad wheel speed sensor.
The ABS light was on in my first van and it would go out if I pumped the brakes hard, it can detect air in there.

Re: Reverse beeper

Not on my Granvia! When I muted my reverse beeper, it had no effect on the other audible alarms - I wish I could mute the ignition-key warning beeper but I don't know where it is. Richard The beeper for key is above the pedals, either it's the central locking unit or next to it. I just pulled plugs...

Re: Engine not turning over keep hearing a clicking sound

Starter motor. Try and give it a bang with something metal from underneath the van.

I have 2 4x4 vans and neither have had double batteries, they don't have room either.

Re: Knocking front suspension *fix* & Gearbox Lock-Up

Hi, wiring a manual switch is easy, I explained the connections in a previous post. I lost my initial circuit diagram but photo'd the wires when I swapped vans. I'll do another diagram and post here at some point. Once the wiring is in it's easy to add the arduino, it just breaks the 12v feed to the...

Re: Single rear seat to double swap?

I've done this swap. I have a 7 seater and an 8 seater. I can't remember if the rails are different or not (don't think they are, the new van ones where full of sticky sweets), but I swapped mine over anyway because I cut them all the same length because I don't have the rear most seat installed. Th...

Re: Overdrive switch ?

The link to the other discussion is about my van. I made a lock-up controller, have used it for about a year now, prior to that I just used to switch on a simple circuit to lock when ever the van went into 4th gear. Now it locks up at 30mph, but could be set to anything dynamically. My last tankful ...

Re: Front Seats For Sale

How's that mind reading coming on?

Delay was down to checking the seats were where I left them, they are.
One is grubby now from being moved by a grubby mechanic, I'll chuck some upholstry cleaner at it and see how it looks.
I'd like £80 for them.

Re: Can I drive my 4x4 temporarily as 2wd?

Yeah, my front halfshaft splines were worn and noisy too. Made the RWD decision easy. I can't imagine the chain jumping, it's a large duplex unit. The noise from the slack it would need would be terrible, more likely front splines. Take off the rear prop shaft and centre bearing and it can hang down...
