Re: A smashing time! (reposted)

...the MoT is due in October and I don't think the temporary plastic rear screen would be acceptable.

Why not? Convertible (soft-top) cars have flimsy plastic for their rear windows!

Re: A smashing time! (reposted)

Carglass made the comment that it was a pity it wasn't the front screen that needed replacement as the Hiace screen fits. It may fit, but does it have the brown/grey smoked band across the top of the windscreen? When Autoglass tried to replace my windscreen a few years ago, they insisted that it be...

Re: Advice Please - Dash Warning Lights

My contribution to the speculation: Multiple warning lights on the dashboard would suggest either: - low voltage from the battery or alternator. Check the voltage at the battery terminals with the engine running. See postings elsewhere on what the readings should be (~13V). The problem could be poor...

Re: Remote locking on a '96 Granvia?

Yes, several forum members have installed non-Toyota remote locking. Do a search of the forum postings looking for 'remote locking' or 'central locking'.

Re: moon roof

Comet, welcome to the forum! There is no fuse location in the Granvia documentation* which controls the windows or the moon roof. Forum users have reported that there is a 10A fuse near the air conditioning controls in the roof of the rear passenger compartment. However, if you are having problems o...

Re: AC Fluid help!

Welcome to the forum!

On my '95 diesel Granvia, there's a bright yellow label in the engine compartment (just above the brake fluid reservoir) which says the refrigerant is "R134a".

Re: granvia dimensions for camper convert planning

Ian, welcome to the forum! Where did you get your assumed internal dimensions? My Granvia has a maximum internal height (from carpet to roof lining) of 1320mm and it's less at the ends; internal floor width is only 1500mm between the internal plastic panels. Do your dimensions relate to a stripped-o...

Re: Quick (?) servicing questions...

Sorry, I should have added a warning when changing the air filter: the sensors for the incoming air which ultimately allow the ECU to deliver the correct amount of fuel to the engine have a reputation for fagility. Take great care when handling all the wiring attached to the air hoses and housings a...
