Re: Engine not turning over keep hearing a clicking sound
I've no personal experience of this problem, but it sounds like a failure in the starter solenoid/relay. Take a look in the second half of this thread where Pompier in 2013 reported similar symptoms: http://www.toyota-granvia.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=1543 or even: http://www.toyota-granvia.co.uk/viewto...

Re: 4x4 2 battery setup into a 2wd
The normal Granvia has only one battery but if it is fitted with the "cold climate" option pack it will have two batteries.

Re: Reverse beeper
Not on my Granvia!
When I muted my reverse beeper, it had no effect on the other audible alarms - I wish I could mute the ignition-key warning beeper but I don't know where it is.

Re: ignition key light
Yes, there is! On my Granvia, the ignition switch and the footwell are illuminated for about 30 seconds after the door is opened.
And, no, I don't know where the timer and its relay are located. Oh for a Granvia wiring diagram.....

Re: Overdrive switch ?
Sometimes the short stretches of two lanes are the only way to get past the cars and caravans going even slower (than 50 mph). While towing a trailer on narrow hilly sections in rural Devon? I can understand why you would find the overdrive/3rd-gear button useful and it shows how radically differen...

Re: Overdrive switch ?
It is illegal to freewheel in the UK as this will affect things like power steering and brake servo vacuum.... Hmmm, I don't think so! We're talking about freewheeling, the equivalent of slipping the gearbox into neutral. If the engine is still idling then power assistance for the steering and vacu...

Re: Electrical Fault
I suspect you've come across one of the Granvia's "features"! Some Granvias suffer from an unexplained battery drain where, if the vehicle is left standing for a few days, the battery has discharged enough that there's insuffiecient power left to start the engine (and the diesel engine nee...
