Re: Advice Please - Dash Warning Lights

My contribution to the speculation: Multiple warning lights on the dashboard would suggest either: - low voltage from the battery or alternator. Check the voltage at the battery terminals with the engine running. See postings elsewhere on what the readings should be (~13V). The problem could be poor...

Re: Remote locking on a '96 Granvia?

Yes, several forum members have installed non-Toyota remote locking. Do a search of the forum postings looking for 'remote locking' or 'central locking'.

Re: moon roof

Comet, welcome to the forum! There is no fuse location in the Granvia documentation* which controls the windows or the moon roof. Forum users have reported that there is a 10A fuse near the air conditioning controls in the roof of the rear passenger compartment. However, if you are having problems o...

So very sorry to hear of your problems.

Re: AC Fluid help!

Welcome to the forum!

On my '95 diesel Granvia, there's a bright yellow label in the engine compartment (just above the brake fluid reservoir) which says the refrigerant is "R134a".

Re: granvia dimensions for camper convert planning

Ian, welcome to the forum! Where did you get your assumed internal dimensions? My Granvia has a maximum internal height (from carpet to roof lining) of 1320mm and it's less at the ends; internal floor width is only 1500mm between the internal plastic panels. Do your dimensions relate to a stripped-o...

Re: Quick (?) servicing questions...

Sorry, I should have added a warning when changing the air filter: the sensors for the incoming air which ultimately allow the ECU to deliver the correct amount of fuel to the engine have a reputation for fagility. Take great care when handling all the wiring attached to the air hoses and housings a...

Re: Quick (?) servicing questions...

Do I need to clamp off the fuel lines when changing fuel filter? I can't give a definite answer on that - I can't remember! If the feed line from the fuel tank is not clamped, then the fuel in the line may drain back into the tank so that the engine will have to be cranked until the fuel pump can r...

Re: Quick (?) servicing questions...

Where's the drain plug for the engine oil (I read a horror story somewhere where the gearbox oil plug was accidentally removed instead of the engine oil and the van was subsequently driven with no gearbox oil)? Yup, if you look under the vehicle from the side it's all too easy to assume that big dr...
