Any chance of a photo?
Granvias in Japan were fitted with all sorts of kit, from boxes up on the roof to "black boxes" plugged into the wiring loom under the dashboard. Most of them would only work in Japan, such as the TV & radio equipment, and was useless anyway without documentation. My "extra goodie" was under the dashboard and had a dashboard-mounted aerial - it was to allow remote starting of the engine to get the interior warm ready for the driver and passengers during Japan's very cold winters.
