Hi, I have a problem with my central locking on a 1998 Granvia 3.4. All the doors lock but the hazards don't flash. Any ideas?

On the standard ex-factory Granvia, the lights don't flash! Central locking using the remote or the driver's door lock just locks the doors; the only indication you get is audible - a muffled clunk as the doors lock.

Some aftermarket alarms will operate the central locking AND flash the hazard warning lights - has your Granvia been fitted with such a device?

I’ve just had alarm and immobiliser fitted to our Granvia and yes now the indicators flash when alarm fob activated but I still listen for the clunk !?!?

Its also possible your central locking is an aftermarket addition put in by a DIY fitter who didn't bother connecting it to the indicators despite the system being capable of it

My 95' has a cobra system fitted which i know would make the indicators flash but it obviously wasn't hooked up, you can tell the cobra ones as the fob looks like a tadpole with a grey tail, and has 2 grey buttons
