engine 3.4 V6 gas

Postby grandad » 12 Jun 2018, 07:14

My 2000 Granvia Cruising Selection, 4x4 with a 3.4ltr V6 gas engine has 90.000km on the clock and like to know if the timing belt needs replacing at the 100.000km mark. Also what octane is required for these engines. Many thanks

I replaced mine at 100,000 miles, a new belt was easy to get, fitting it needed some patience as it has a hydrauic adjuster.

I run mine on 95 octane unleaded and LPG.

Thank you both for your replies.
As for the octane, have tried all 3 available, but did notice no difference in performance, mpg and temp gauge.
I guess that proves the comp. is doing its job.
Better save than sorry.
Thanks again!
