Postby granviagra » 07 Jan 2016, 23:24

hi folks just bought a granvia.

I was wondering if I can put bigger alloys on than the standard 15" without detrimental effect. anybody put on bigger ones?

I have 16" alloys on mine running 225/60 tyres. These give pretty much the same gearing as the stock 70 profiles on 15" wheels. They are quite wide at 8" and have an offset of 140mm. They fill the arches nicely but don't foul on anything. Slightly firmer ride than 70s but nothing too bad and worth it for the improved handling.

I believe somebody else on here went for 17" wheels with lower still profiles, and I vaguely remember somebody talking about 18" - but can't remember the outcome. Do a little search on here and you will find plenty of info.

These are granvias that I found on web that I like the look of alloys. Can anyone identify the spec of these wheels?

Here are some pictures of my van at its holiday home, when I am away with work. Don't know what the alloys are called

Toyoya Surf Wheels

Postby granviagra » 20 Jan 2016, 10:00

I heard that Toyota surf wheels fit. I would like the big butch tyres rather than big wide alloys and low profile. does anyone know if these fit?

I understand that Landcruiser and Hilux alloys fir any other compatible wheels ?

If the rolling radious is too great it will foul the body.
I don't know how big you can go.

The wheels in the picture are five stud so won't fit the Granville six stud hubs. Try and keep the overall size and offset the same to avoid fouling or gearing issues

265/35/18 now in our 4WD Granvia and won`t recommed. Two of these rims did burst from inner edge because of too tiny tireprofile in too heavy car. And maybe also because of bad roads, we live in country. Next we try 245/45/18, hope it will be enough. Sorry about my badenglish and greetings from Finland :)
