Granvia Shocks needed in Australia

Postby Bento » 28 Jun 2017, 08:46

Hello, I just bought an imported Granvia in Australia and am looking to replace the shocks soon. Do you know the best place that I can buy online and ship to Australia?

I ordered four OE shocks (Kayaba) through my local Toyota dealer (uk) and found they were cheaper at around £50 per corner than the pattern rubbish on e bay.

I would have thought a Toyota main dealer in OZ could do this too if you supply a chassis number

Thanks mate, It's 2WD, front and rear. Are they same thing? I'm a mechanical idiot so I'll run it by the mechanic.

Thanks mate, I've sent an email to the local Toyota dealer to see if they could do just that.

So after some research, I've tried the OEM ordering service via www.rhdjapan.com
They seem to offer an buying and shipping arrangement for international Japanese vehicle owners, needing Japanese parts that are unavailable through local sources. It says I should be able to get the original Toyota parts in 2-4 weeks. There were some other online providers but these guys seemed to have a decent reputation, and were easiest to communicate with. Their main business is Jap sports cars, but they say they have relationships with all the parts manufacturers so you just put in an enquiry, and they do the finding!......I'll update the post with the results!
