on my sony double din there is a yellow RGB type plug that the camera goes into, its pretty obvious looking at the unit, as its embossed into the metal on the back of the unit. the plugs are in the back of the unit and not related to the ISO wiring harness etc. its among the plug holes for extra speakers

there are 3 rows of RGB female plugs on there, the middle row farthest right one is camera on mine

if you have the rest of the unit plugged in with the wiring harness you can set the unit to show the camera feed, then hold the unit and just try each of those RGB plugs until the camera comes on. leave it in each plug a couple of seconds as mine has a delay before it will show the image

hope this is helpful

Firstly , many thanks for the replies , I have to confess car electrics baffle me so knowing the new set has to come back out to fit side fillers I might as well pop old unit back in and remove connectors till reverse camera stops working !?
I have sat with the unit on my knee and gone through ebays “Toyota reversing camera adapter” lists and none of them look like any of the plugs on the back of mine !?

that looks totally different to my double din.

Have you tried getting a manual my searching the model no?

Is your reverse cam factory fitted, or an aftermarket thing?

My camera was made by kenwood, fits my sony unit no problem. It seems to be a very simple thing electrically, and has just 2 wires (red and black) running from the camera to an audio type plug that fits the head unit

Yes mine has factory reverse camera, the original stereo had radio/cassette/cd / tv / sat nav and obviously reverse view but most of it unusable in uk sadly, am going looking at an interior mirror monitor that does both rear view and reverse camera tomorrow and i’ll just use the head unit as a stereo , like in the old days :-)
