Brake light help

Postby Silenthobobristol » 21 May 2018, 22:52

Hi , just bought a 95 granvia, really happy with it.

How ever I've just noticed the brake lights are not working, I want to replace them but am not sure where they are located as I have never seen them on. Are they located on the boot door , or on the lights next to the boot door... or both? Fortunately the brake light strip on the boot window has been working.

thanks in advance

Hello, mine is a 1999 so probably different but i’ve watched YouTube videos about Granvia’s which showed their brake lights, might be worth a quick look !?
Cheers

Sorry but am I missing something here? If I want to check my brake lights I get someone to sit inside and press the brake pedal whilst I watch from the rear of the vehicle.

That's one way. If you're on your own you can reverse close to a wall and check with your door mirrors that the brake lights on both sides are lighting

I think the problem in the original post was only the upper high level light was working !?
I often check mine as I swing away from our Tesco (a dab on the brakes reflected in the windows) when exiting the car park :-)

That's right I only had it a short time and had never seen the brake lights on so didn't know where they were.. both bulbs were blown, all sorted now though:) thanks
